My Exclusive Yoga & Smoothie Demo on Good Day LA

Check out my double yoga and smoothie demo yesterday on Good Day LA. It was a first for me doing a yoga segment on air, and it was a blast!

The emphasis of the yoga segment was poses that help stimulate and benefit various organs and systems, and goes from beginner to advanced. Don’t worry- you don’t have to be able to twist into a pretzel to get benefits! Very easy versions work great too.

In the second segment, I did a demo of my Vanilla Active Shake recipe that we are serving at GLOW BIO. We use sprouted buckwheat groats and our own raw sprouted almond milk. It’s yummy and energizing and a blood-sugar stabilizer! Need I say more? Check out all the fun, and never skimp out on your post workout snack!

Congratulations onopening your new shop and on the good publicity! May it abound with success!!!

  • Gabby

Congratulations!! Will there be a future book with some of your smoothie recipes for those who cannot have the privilege of going to the shop? Or better yet a future shop in Gilbert, Az? =)

  • Stephanie

Hi! Great segment! What is the recipe for the almond milk smoothie? I don’t live in LA :).

    Hi Kim,

I would like to mention, from the perspective of a certified yoga therapist, that back pain will not be resolved the way you’re explaining. Where we feel the pain is almost never where the problem is. You may have to look below (pelvic stability), or above (shoulder girdle stability).

I do want to add that I love that you mentioned to the male host that he might need more restorative yoga, lovely comment!

I have been following your program since August. Even though I thought I was healthy before, I see where the hole are! I feel awesome!

Is the link to your yoga demo working ?

  • Deb

I can not find the link to your yoga demo on this page, only the interview. Is it missing ?

GREAT JOB!! I know that GLOW BIO will be very successful! Let me know when you create franchise opportunities for the shops… that would be a dream come true for me and my husband! :)

Good luck on the opening of Glow Bio. I really acquired so much information today by watching these three videos. I am so glad to be a subscriber. You have helped me to improve my life. I hope that one day soon you would consider opening a Glow Bio in New York in Nassau County or somewhere nearby. We could really use it.

Hi Kimberly, love the look of the buckwheat smoothie!!! Would u recommend having this in the afternoon as a snack? If u can’t find buckwheat groats, would oat groats work? Would u just need to soak overnight? Also, do you recommend having chia seeds everyday? I haven’t heard you talk about them much lately, and just wondering if it’s something u still have daily? Are nuts/seeds important to eat daily? I’ve been having 2 tbs of chia a day in a smoothie as a pre-workout snack, but it might be nice to mix it up with this new smoothie and have on alternate days!!! Your new store sounds amazing!!!!! I’m sure it will do soooo well!!!! Can’t wait to visit!!!!

    Thank you, Julia x

Kim, thank you so much for sharing your wisdom with us! What a blessing!

  • Mia

Your energy is awesome! I think you’re wonderful. Congratulations!

  • Jo

Thanks, Kimberly. It’s nice to be reminded that in order to get the benefits of yoga, it is not necessary to be super flexible and an inversion expert. Take it easy, listen to your body, do as much as you can and be happy. Great message.

I wish you had your own show, EVERY single anchor that interviews you is constantly interrupting you and you cannot explain your concepts fully. I find that very frustrating. Loved this segment though!

Because almonds are naturally very nutritious, almond milk doesn’t need to be fortified. You can make almond milk yourself at home, and it will have the same nutritional value as the almond milk available commercially.
