It was so amazing to meet around 57 of you Beauties this past Saturday at my first Beauty Detox Transformation Retreat! I can’t wait to share more about the event next week with all of you. You all inspire me daily, and I am so proud of each of you in our community.

This week I want you all to meet Emilie, as she shares her Beauty Detox Transformation Story!

And I will add that Emilie is a great, very alignment-based yoga teacher in Los Angeles (I’ve been in her class!), and if you have a chance to catch one of her classes or workshops you’ll walk away with a better understanding of your body and aligning into each asana (pose).

How long have you been following the Beauty Detox philosophy? Was it easy to incorporate it into your lifestyle?

I was introduced to the Beauty Detox Lifestyle through Glow Bio on Melrose here in LA. I teach yoga in Los Angeles and work at a local yoga studio down the street from their current location.  I am obsessed with The Glowing Green Juice and the Glowing Green Smoothie .  I have found here in LA there are so many juicers to choose from but I was so glad to find Glo Bio as I know they only use organic produce and properly pair their meals and drinks! I was elated to step into Glow Bio the first time and find out that not only was their juice exceptionally delicious and nourishing,  but that the creator of The Beauty Detox Solution, Kimberly, was one of my favorite yogis! I’ve been hooked ever since!


What is your daily regimen? Give us an example of a typical meal plan and exercise routines.

I practice strong vinyasa yoga everyday. I also run three to four times a week and get in plenty of hikes, swims and dance sessions in LA! I nourish my body every morning with a Glowing Green Smoothie  and sometimes a Power Protein Smoothie.

What I love about the Beauty Detox Lifestyle is Kimberly’s approach to a plant-based diet. I’m vegetarian but have eaten raw in the past which was hard on my digestion and left me feeling bloated. Kimberly’s approach to cooking is clean, nutritious, easy and tasty!! She combines fruits & veggies in a colorful way that makes fresh ingredients fancy. No fuss and delicious.

How do you feel after adopting the Beauty Detox lifestyle? What changes have you experienced?

I have hypothyroid disease and didn’t realize prior to reading The Beauty Detox Solution that there were many things I needed to avoid, even certain vegetables. Understanding specifically what I can and cannot eat has helped me in arranging meals that make me feel great.

I also have a rigorous work schedule that keeps my mealtimes limited and often, unfortunately, taking place in my car. Knowing that I can prepare plant based meals that don’t need to be heated up or refrigerated is an awesome help for my busy life!

How has this impacted your outlook on life?

I have had a bigger internal shift then external. I feel so much better now in terms of my digestion and my hypothyroid disease.  I now view food as something I consume for optimal health! I love to share about my new lifestyle when anyone asks how I have so much energy and my skin is glowing! I love my yoga practice and I feel that since starting on Kimberly’s program, I feel stronger then ever. I love to share this information with everyone who asks me how I stay healthy.

What is your favorite recipe and why?

Being a smoothie lover I would have to say The Glowing Green Smoothie! I love going to the grocery store and stocking up on fresh produce, especially greens that I know I will blend into a potent elixir of health and yumminess! I often add jalapenos and cilantro to my smoothies for a little kick in the morning ;)

What words of encouragement do you have for others in the Beauty Detox Community?

Do not forget that being able to eat organic, green and healthy food is a gift to our bodies! We are all so fortunate to have Kimberly share her knowledge and love for fresh, organic food with us. Research says that food heals the body, supports the bodies functions and equates to a long healthy life. So why not choose to eat what is right for you and eat food as if it’s your daily dose of medicine.
