It is time for another #featurefridays here on the blog. In today’s blog I am sharing with you the story of a beautiful young women named Renee. I met Renee in New York last fall and she was such a bright light; I enjoyed talking to her very much. She is filled with amazing energy and love and has really connected to the Beauty Detox Lifestyle.
It is so important for all of us to share our journeys with one other. The Beauty Detox Community has been growing and thriving and I can truly feel it stronger than ever before. Kimberly Snyder and the Beauty Detox Lifestyle have helped me become the person I was always meant to be. This lifestyle is so much more than food! Food is just the beginning. When you nourish your body properly you are loving it properly. This lifestyle helped me fall in love with myself and when you truly love yourself you can love others and the world around you better. A few words from Renee…

How long have you been following the Beauty Detox philosophy? Was it easy to incorporate it into your lifestyle?

I have been following the Beauty Detox philosophy for a little over 2 years now! I went gluten free 5 years ago, vegetarian 3 year ago and after reading Kim’s first book The Beauty Detox Solution I went completely vegan 2 years ago and never looked back!
The lifestyle was VERY easy for me. I think this is because I didn’t cut everything out all at once. It’s a process and a journey.

What is your daily regimen? Give us an example of a typical meal plan and exercise routines.

My daily regime starts out with a liter of water in the morning with my probiotic. Sometimes I’ll have hot lemon water or an apple cider vinegar tea that I make to kick start my organs after all those hours asleep. I prefer to work out in the morning before breakfast.
Every body is different. Some people need to eat before working out, but I find I get too crampy and I don’t like that. I prefer yoga and weight lifting over cardio, but I feel cardio is important, so 3-5 times a week I go for a run or brisk walk for 40 minutes.
After working out, breakfast will be a smoothie! Either The Glowing Green Smoothie® or a banana spinach smoothie. These smoothies are so easy to digest and the greens give me the boost I need until lunch. Lunchtime will be either a large fruit platter or green salad! The more colors the better!! In the colder months I like to add more cooked food like quinoa or sweet potatoes.
I always listen to my body and give it what it craves! Dinner is similar to lunch, but if I want to eat something really heavy and dense, this is the meal I do it at. And let’s not forget dessert! I love dessert, but I don’t eat anything processed anymore so my dessert is usually something like Kimberly’s Thyroid Boosting Macaroons. Just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth!

How do you feel after adopting the Beauty Detox lifestyle? What changes have you experienced?

Where do I begin with the Beauty Detox Lifestyle….it’s truly changed everything. Well let me rephrase that. It’s allowed me to become the person I always knew I was meant to be.
This lifestyle has given me the greatest gift: my health.
When you are healthy you unlock all other areas of your life. I’m more confident, I’m more vibrant, I’m happier, I’m more at peace with myself and my place in this world. I love deeper and with a full heart. Its hard to describe it to other people, but others who have found too completely understand. And the best part about this lifestyle? It’s available to EVERYONE!! Anyone and everyone can feel this good!
Health isn’t something available only to those who can afford it! I promise you. I started this lifestyle as a poor college student and now I live in NYC as an actress. I am by no means wealthy and I am sustaining this lifestyle with ease!
All it takes is a little determination to make the change and an open mind. Once you get going you’ll start feeling and looking so good that you’ll want to continue and you’ll want to make more lasting changes! I suffered from cystic acne for years and tried every topical treatment out there. It wasn’t until I started the Beauty Detox Lifestyle that I was able to heal my skin.
If I can heal myself YOU CAN TOO!!! I believe in this lifestyle with all my heart.

What is your favorite recipe and why?


My favorite Recipe of Kim’s is a toss up between the Raw Macaroons or the Red Cabbage Slaw. I made the slaw for my best friend in college and he’s been hooked ever since! He even made it for HIS family on Thanksgiving last year! Amazing!
